The Missouri Soybean Association will get your voice heard!

More and more laws impact agriculture every year. That’s why it’s so important that you, as a soybean producer, belong to an organization that represents your viewpoint and gets the job done right. The Missouri Soybean Association (MSA) is that organization. Whether it’s setting up value-added, new generation businesses to increase farmer profitability, or lobbying to add biodiesel to alternative fuel legislation, the MSA gets results. You need someone to voice your views on environmental, trade, and marketing issues. Join the organization where membership matters.

Participation

Every Missouri soybean farmer is eligible to participate in the MSA. Each member is required to pay dues to belong to the organization ($60 for one year, $160 for three years, $1,000 for a lifetime). Soybean checkoff dollars may not be used for lobbying purposes, so membership dues are the only source of financing that guarantees issues facing soybean producers are brought to the attention of lawmakers.

"Legislative challenges, complex regulations, and broad issues define today’s agricultural industry. Soybean farmers striving to stay abreast of issues affecting them need a collective voice to speak on behalf of their needs. The Missouri Soybean Association is answering that call through their commitment to the profitability and promotion of soybeans. The farmer-run organization works to represent growers’ interests at the state and national levels. The MSA understands the daily obstacles you face in the tough business of agriculture, so you don’t have to face these challenges alone.” - Greg Sharpe, MSA President

“Each of us invests our time and hard-earned money every year to produce our crops. With that much on the line, we need to know that our investments are protected. As a member of the Missouri Soybean Association, you can rest assured issues affecting you are being handled the right way. Our volunteer leaders work hard to bring industry concerns to the forefront of state and national government.”    - Kelly Forck, MSA Vice-President

Goal
To improve profitability for Missouri soybean producers.

Leaders
The MSA is truly a producer-run organization, with 16 farmers from 7 districts serving on the Board of Directors. Each director is elected to serve a three-year term, and there is no limit to the number of terms a director may serve. The board is in charge of all lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C., and Jefferson City, Mo.
